Certainly a divisive figure over the last few decades, with his comments about gays being reponsible for 9/11, his support of segregation in the US, support of Apartheid in South Africa, giving Fundamentalists more power, eventually bringing us Bush, Cheney, etc.

Let's not forget another celebrity whose reputation was tarnished by ol' Jer a few years back...
