Eagles....Moncton...August 2nd.

CTV dropped the bomb last night, and while we're about to get dumped on by a winter storm, we can think about summer for a few minutes, at least. Although it's not official, CTV told me last night that they had confirmation from three sources that it's a done deal.

Halifax Common has Keith Urban, and a couple more irons on the fire as far as another show...plus Charlottetown is in the hunt, as well.

Personally, I don't have a problem with making a road trip to Motown for The Eagles. I saw them in 2002, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Third row center, they were incredible. Of course, they're pretty much the poster children for high ticket prices and chardonnay-swilling yacht rockers, but they're money in the bank. Pretty much every song in a two-hour span is a top ten classic.

The Magnetic Hill Stones concert in '05 was a great day, and I really don't get into the Halifax vs. Moncton shit. There are plenty of shows to go around. We should be thankful we're getting anything, concert-wise, because...well...we live in the Maritimes, and we generally don't get anything at all. Plus...competition is a very good thing sometimes. Now, we have two big shows this summer, as opposed to our usual zero. Keep 'em comin'!
